Simple Center-CVC

Saturday, November 24, 2018
Do you ever need just ONE more center for your literacy block, but don't want to buy a WHOLE pack of them?  Well, I felt the same way, so I created a new line of products that is just that-one more!  They are one center focusing on one skill

They include a center activity, recording sheet, and a practice worksheet that you can use however you would like.  You can add that sheet as extra practice after your kiddos finish a center or you could use it for morning work or homework!

I have a bunch of centers already made for the past couple holidays (Halloween/fall and Thanksgiving)!

I wanted to share my new Christmas center with you!  This one focuses on CVC words.  Your kiddos will record the CVC word on their recording sheet.

In this pack I have included THREE different recording sheets.  The recording sheets included are write the full word, write the missing vowel, and trace each word.

I added the CVC picture cards and word cards.  I would add the word cards to the center and have your kiddos match the word to the picture then record.

Touchtronic Letters Review/Giveaway

Monday, March 9, 2015
I recently was in Atlanta at the EDexpo and got to check out the newest educational materials and supplies.  One of those things were the Touchtronic Letters from Junior Learning.

They are a set of letters that were made to be used on the iPad!  Imagine magnetic letters, but for an iPad!
There are two FREE apps that are compatible with these letters

One app is all about practicing the individual letters and the other is a CVC building app.
The iPad is very interactive, but adding a manipulative that can be used with it makes it 10 times better!  Your kiddos can actually see and touch each letter for better reinforcement.
There are three different games to play with the ABC app.  My kiddos loved the Letter Bubbles!
Find the letter that matches the first sound and "pop" the bubble with it!

This one I LOVED because it isolated that vowel!  This was perfect for my kiddos because this is what we are really working on now!

This CVC app was amazing too!  It starts out with the three blank spots.  Your kiddos build a CVC word and the matching picture shows up on the top.
One thing that I thought was brilliant was that when you start building your word, the app picks up the sight words and reads them for you!
If that isn't great, you can tap on each letter and it says each sound for you.  This is great reinforcement, especially for those short tricky short vowel sounds.
If you aren't already excited, the amazing people at Junior Learning are giving away a set of letters to one of my readers!
PLUS-if you use the word TRONIC at checkout you can recieve 20% off any of their Touchtronic prodcuts!

Happy Monday!

I should be packing for my trip to Nashville (I leave tomorrow), but I wanted to show you this fun CVC building activity!  Some of my lower students REALLY need extra help on those short vowels, so this was perfect for them!

This is from my Word Work: CVC Activities!
This pack and my ENTIRE STORE is 20% through tomorrow!

Five for Friday...Saturday Edition

Saturday, March 29, 2014
We are officially on Spring Break!!  I am looking forward to a much needed break!  I am actually teaching next week!  Our school is offering spring break school (like summer school)!  Luckily it will only be half days and Friday we go on a field trip!  My thought was that I am not going anywhere so I might as well do it! :)
Check out our week!
1.  The boys in my class are OBSESSED with basketball, so I have been turning any activity I can into a basketball theme!  Here each kiddo picked a word card and counted the syllables and "dunked" them into the correct bag.
If you are interested in this activity, click here!
2.   Another fun activity came from my Math Madness pack!  I hid the basketballs around the room and my kiddos got their basketball hoop and had to find the matching ball!
3.  I found this fun graphing freebie on TpT!  Click here to grab it! :)

4.   I blogged about my Word Work: CVC pack here, but I wanted to show you what my cuties did with this center this week.  The turned the game into a "Go Fish" game and made built their puzzles that way.  Of course some of my others, decided they were Pokemon cards and were "battling" each other too...haha
5.  Along with TONS of word work centers, this pack includes some great printables too!  This week I used a few of these sheets for morning work.

Word Work: CVC Actvities

Wednesday, March 19, 2014
I am a obsessed with Daily 5 and do it EVERY day!  We only have time for 4 centers a day, but if my kiddos or I had a choice we would do 5! :)  If you are not familiar with Daily 5, it is the easiest and best thing you can do during guided reading.  There is minimal prepping and a great classroom management piece while you meet with your kiddos.
One center that needs a little prepping is Word Work.  I want engaging centers, but ones that can be done independently by most.  I tried adding their spelling words in there and that was "boring" after awhile, so I created my first Word Work pack!  Jammed pack with centers that can be used during Daily 5 or any literacy centers you might have!

**Keep reading for a chance to WIN this pack!**

There are so many different activities in this pack, your kiddos will definitely strengthen those short vowel sounds!  Here are two of the centers in this pack!  CVC puzzles!

These cards come in 3 different levels!  One set is just the picture, one has the full word, and one has a missing vowel.  Your kiddos will write each word in the correct vowel box.

**Want to win one!?**
1.  Pin any picture from this post
2.  Comment with the pin and your email
**I will pick a winner tomorrow**

Congrats Beki! :)
