Sensory Bin Freebie

Tuesday, May 28, 2019
I posted this activity during Teacher Appreciation Week, but wanted to share it here.
I created a fun summer themed sensory bin activity that you can use these last few days of school or this summer with your little ones at home!

This activity focuses on the 4 basic shapes!  Your kiddos pick a card and record what shape they find!  There are two recording sheets included.  One sheet your kiddos color the shape they find and the other one they trace the shape.
This sensory bin center comes in BW and color!  Grab it HERE!

St. Patrick's Day Writing Sensory Bin

Wednesday, March 6, 2019
I'm back with a fun writing center idea for you!

I have been really into sensory bins lately, so I took the word card from my St. Patrick's Day writing pack and added them to a St. Patrick's Day themed sensory bin,

Our sensory bin also has a mix of colored beans.  I also added some green Easter grass and gold glitter paper strips.  I found both of these from Walmart in their Easter section.

You could also add a tweezers or tongs to have your kiddos grab each card using those tools.
I laminated our word tracing paper, so we can use this over and over.  Plus, it cuts down on copying!

These cards are great for a sensory bin or reading/math center.

I paired the number cards with heart table scatter to create and easy math center!  Your kiddos identify the number and count out the matching number of heart scatter pieces.

Toddler Tuesday {Preschool Activities} Week 3

Tuesday, October 16, 2018
Week 3 is all about sensory bins!

I picked up assorted beans at the store along with some plastic spider rings and put them in a plastic storage container.

I let the little guy scoop the beans first.  Then, I had him find all the spiders in the container.  At first we just put them in a pile, then I had him match one spider to a ten frame mat.

I didn't tell him what it was, but just showed him how to organize his spiders.
This was a fun activity for one to one correspondence, but still allowed for play :)

For extra name practice, I added in some pumpkin letters for him to find and then spell his name.  He would find the letters and then I would help him put it in order.
