Five for Friday

Friday, July 15, 2016

You're probably think "YOU'RE ALIVE!" or maybe you haven't even noticed the blogging break I have taken.  Trust me it has been a long time since I wrote a post that didn't involve a giveaway.  I figured why not dust off the old blog by linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching!
Check out what I have been up to!

I have one BIG reason for my blogging break and that has to do with this guy right here!  Beau was born on January 10th!  He keeps us busy and by the time I put him to bed at night I just want to sit and do nothing (and think about how cute he is!)

I have spent many nap times checking out the Pinterest and I am officially obsessed with mason jars.  So obsessed that I made my own mason jar vases.  The hubby actually likes them but reminds me he hates fake flowers (should I know this?)

Summer break means preparing for the upcoming school year!  Which means spending money on cute things we see all summer long- Sorry, Hubby!
I found this puzzle on Zulily for like $4!

Creative Teaching Press is doing a Back to School Giveaway right now!  Check out the stuff I just ordered from there!  My sticker collection has been slowly dwindling so I figured it was time to stock up!

Ok-one more picture-He's just SO cute!

Five for Friday...Seven for Saturday :)

***I wrote this post in July and never linked up, so I thought I would just add to it!! :) :) I have so many things to tell you (like go to number 7)***
It has been awhile since I have linked up!  I have one more week of summer school left!
**We started Wednesday! New school, new district, and I am loving it so far! :)**

So, we bought a dog!!  We had gone back and forth with it before finally deciding to get her.  We are moving next week, so it was perfect timing.  We will have a nice yard for her compared to our patch of grass at our townhouse!  We named her Remie.
**She is so big now!!**

Do you LOVE the chalkboard that cute chalkboard theme?  I had a few requests to make more chalkboard signs.  I have color signs as a FREEBIE.  I made shape and number sets too!

I posted this on my Instgram and Facebook page, but thought it was a perfect reminder for recess!  Now all you warm state teachers would have to adjust it for your temps :)

We move next week and I feel like there is so much to do!  I spent way too long on the phone with the cable and internet companies.  FYI they are not nice when you try to cancel your services...:/

**We have officially moved and we are loving our new house!  We live right next to a pond and small nature park, so we have had deer in our backyard a few mornings!  Now that I work in a new district and that we moved I am over half the distance to my new school...YAY! **

Since my mind is on puppies and moving, I haven't had any time to work on Back to School stuff.  I did post this Reading Comprehension Pack last week.  It is school themed, so it would be great for any time of the year!

6 (not a fancy picture like the others)
We started school on Wednesday and so far my class is doing great!  We practiced being good listeners while I read the book "Curious George's First Day of School".  After we read the book we talked about our favorite parts! My kiddos drew their favorite part to take home and talk about it with their mom or dad!  A lot of them liked when George made a mess...haha!

7!!!
We are expecting a little boy in January!

I'm still here!  This has been a busy month!  We bought a house and got our house ready to sell (if you need a new house and live in MN, let me know ;) ).  School has been crazy with testing and end of the year activities.  I have been neglecting this little blog of mine.

Last weekend we had a Minnesota/Wisconsin Blogger Meet up!  Look at these sweet gifts my friend Sara and Anna brought!

We finished up our farm unit by using some fun sheets from my farm pack!

This is a FREEBIE found here!  This was a great review and this little one needs to work on those ABC patterns :)

Not sure why this pictures is so dark, but we have been learning about digraphs and sorted them using this worksheet!  Find it in this amazing pack that will get you through the whole year!

This was from my friend Irene's Editable Kindergarten Graduation pack!  Love that there was a review section in that pack!

Five for Friday...Saturday Edition

This week flew by!  Check out what we were up to!

We used these fun word puzzles from Junior Learning in one of our literacy centers this week!  These puzzles came in a box of 6 other phonics games!  I will be blogging about the other games this week!

We are always working on our CVC words.  This was another way to practice identifying the ending of those words.  This is from my CVC pack!

I posted on my Instagram that I went to Target this week to check out the clearance on their Easter stuff.  I found these cute metal Easter baskets!  They were 50% off and came in 2 different sizes!

Yesterday, my day started like this and ended with the sun shining!  MN weather is crazy!

The hubby and I spent our Friday night buying a new grill!  Here is to hoping the warm weather stays so we can start grilling without our winter coats on! :)
