Paperless Post

I got the opportunity to review products from Paperless Post and I wanted to share what they are all about!

In this digital world, Paperless Post provides cards and flyers for any occasion that can be customized and sent via email!
I love this concept because you can send them quickly and they won't get thrown out at the end of a season or lost if it is an invitation.

I would use the thank you cards in the classroom.  I know I can't be the only one who gets a gift only to realize I do not have any more thank you cards left!

  

Paperless Post has a bunch of cards to choose from and they are sent to any email-they even include an envelope and a stamp to give it that snail mail feel!

Each card is a certain number of "coins".  They have a base price and then if you add a fun background that is an extra coin or two.  The process to make each card is fast and easy!

Christmas Tree Names

One more week!  You can do it!
If you are looking for a fun Christmas themed activity, you've come to the right place!

I made templates for your kiddos to make their own Christmas tree name!
This would be a perfect addition to your math time!  Hello, shapes!
Just print the templates on white (they color them) or colored paper and have your kiddos make their tree names!  You can write the letters or have them do it!

Ornament Number Match

Looking for a quick activity to keep your kiddos busy during this last week?
I have made a fun ornament number match game.

Your kiddos can flip over the numbers and pick a number to match or just match on their own.
To make it a challenge, flip over all the ornaments and have kiddos take turns, one needs to find the even numbers and one needs to find the odd numbers.
I love how it can be adjusted to meet anyone 's level :)

Easy Christmas Activities

I have compiled a list of easy Christmas activities you can do in your classroom this last week before winter break!

1. Sticker Christmas Tree
This one is pretty simple!  Draw or print out a Christmas tree.  Draw lines for the lights on it.  Then, have your kiddos use small stickers on the lines.

2. Christmas Tree Fingerprint Tree
This one is fun!  Cut out a Christmas tree and put the tree on another white piece of paper.  Make fingerprints around the tree covering the whole paper.  Take the tree off and you have a cute outlined tree with fingerprints surrounding it!

3.  Christmas Tree Shapes
I remember doing something like this when I was student teaching.  Students decorate a Christmas shape using 2D shapes!

4.  Graphing Bows
Just like it says!  Graph Christmas bows.  I would add movement by hiding the bows around the room.  Then, once all of them are found-graph them!

5.  Christmas Tic Tac Toe
Play tic tac toe using ornaments!  They use a tray, but you could just draw the game board on a piece of paper or white board!

Helping Santa Writing Freebie

We just got this book "Five Busy Elves" and I wanted to create a quick writing activity to go along with it.

Toddler Tuesday {Preschool Ideas} Week 10

I am back with more pom pom ideas!
This week I created these cute Christmas trees!

I laminated them and left the star blank, so I could use them for more things!
This activity I wrote a number on the star.
We took the pom poms to match the number on the star!

We also used buttons!  Our buttons were a little smaller and they looked adorable after we were finished!

You could do so much with these like addition, subtraction, letter, CVC, rhyming, etc!  Honestly, the possibilities are endless!

Writing this has given me a few other ideas...stay tuned :)

Student Gift and Tag Idea for the Holidays

I found play-doh on clearance a few months ago and thought how perfect this would be for a student gift.

I made this adorable gift tag you can use with your play-doh too!

I have two sizes!  A smaller one that you can use with the mini containers of play-doh and a bigger tag you can add to a gift bag or tie to the container itself.

Christmas Dot Sticker Picutres

I want to share a fine motor activity you can do with your kiddos!

I got some dot stickers from Amazon and created a few Christmas pictures that you can decorate using your dot stickers.

I like these stickers because they are big enough that tiny hands can get them off on their own.  They also came in many colors!

I cut the sticker sheets in half to make it a little easier!

Parent Gift Idea~Hand Print Christmas Trees

I can't be the only one who waits until the last minute to do parent gifts.  I wanted to share an idea that I did.  You can do this now or like me wait until the week before break to start on your gifts.
I am a sucker for hand print anything!  I know-the mess!  BUT if you have clear directions it isn't so bad!
I would call each kiddo up during their normal reading centers!  If you don't want to skip a day of guided reading, then have your kiddos work on a holiday card or do it during a work time.
 

Paint their hands green and press it on the paper.  I took a piece of poster board and cut it into squares.

Here is an example of the ways you can create this hand print tree.  You can have their hands up, down, together, or open!  Either way they turn out adorable!

Once all the hand prints dry, you can have your kiddos decorate.  I tried two different ways.  Lights and ornaments.  The ornaments are probably the easiest since they don't need a marker to draw the lines.

After the tree is decorated (don't forget the stump!), I cut around the tree!  You can laminate the tree for extra sturdiness or leave as is.  I taped a piece of ribbon on the back and wrote 2018 on the back as well!

These cute little trees can be hung on their trees at home or just a keepsake to remember how tiny those hands were!

Toddler Tuesday {Preschool Ideas} Week 9

I have a EASY idea for you this week!
I literally took a sheet of big poster board and drew a gingerbread on it (artistic skills not required)!

I then let the little one go to TOWN!  He got to paint his own GIANT gingerbread man!

Anything that is close to his size equals engagement!

After it dried I cut it out and we hung him up!

Easy? Yes!  Fun? YES!

Gingerbread Roll and Color

We are still going strong on our gingerbread themed activities!

Today, we did a fun roll and color activity!  We have done these before where we color after we roll, but I wanted to reuse them as many times as I could so I laminated the worksheet! 

Then, we used pom poms to cover each number after we rolled our dice.

I have included another sheet that is roll and trace.  Your kiddos will roll and trace the number they get.
