Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Thursday, May 2, 2019
Mother's Day is right around the corner, so I wanted to share some fun Mother's Day gifts I found that you could make in your classroom!

These are easy to make and will look ADORABLE!
This first one is a thumbprint project.  This is a quick and easy gift made with an ink pad, paper, and a glass gem!

This one can be done a few different ways!  You can place the paper in a gallon sized baggie with paint and create a design or you can let your kiddos paint a piece of paper.  You will cut out a heart and place the painted paper in the back of the paper.

This one doesn't involve paint which can make it a little easier!

This one is a cute one that comes with a poem that your kiddos can put their prints all over.  I also like the handprint bouquet.

This is another paper craft that uses one handprint and little flowers to create a cute flower pot!

I hope these gave you some ideas of crafts to make with your kiddos!  I have linked all the ideas to blog post with the directions!

Flower Bead Counters

Wednesday, April 17, 2019
Spring is here and I have a fun spring themed math center for you!

This center has your kiddos identifying numbers, one to one correspondence, and counting!

I took pipe cleaners and beads, then added a cute flower number on the top!

Your kiddos will identify the number that add that many beads to the "stem"!

This activity includes numbers 1-20.

Flowers

We are learning about plants in science for the next couple of weeks!  To introduce this topic, I made a giant flower and asked my kiddos what a flower or plant needs to grow!  This was great to see what they knew and kept them so engaged to see what I was going to pull out next to make our "flower" grow!  I made everything out of construction paper and after I made it I realized it was huge and I did not have wall space for it...opps, so we just did it on the floor!  It works because then the kiddos can have fun labeling it later on!  Check it out!

Rain cloud!  Ignore the fact that the flower is 20 times bigger than the cloud!

Tomorrow we have Junior Achievement!   I remember doing it when I was in 5th grade, so we'll see how it goes tomorrow with my kinders!
