Labeling, Word Families, and FREEBIES...oh my!

What a day! Happy tomorrow is Friday! :) Today we practiced our labeling! We are talking about neighborhoods and workers in our neighborhoods, so we did a community helper labeling sheet from my Community Helpers Pack! I had my kinders do it all on their own. I told them to focus on the beginning sounds! They did great!

We have been working on word families and I felt like I needed to do MORE with them! I was searching for ideas and saw some flashcards with our word family words on them. I instantly thought my kiddos would LOVE these! Each kinder got their own sheet of words. They cut them out and we went to the carpet. They were so adorable laying out each card. Once everyone was done I would say a word or sound out a word and they would find it and hold it up! It seems way simple but they totally loved it and the best part was they got to take their cards home to practice! I made cards like the ones we used just click on the picture!
