I don't know if this will actually show up, but basically it says " I love your FREEBIE, but it is not in Spanish, so no 4.0's for you!" Ok not those words, but close! Wait...WHAT!? Did this just happen? Is this real life!? I didn't know what to do! This is craziness! I don't know Spanish! Remember I took German and French! I can't make Spanish products! HELP! So I email Irene and decided to report it! And guess what!? TpT agreed with the unfair rating, took down the feedback, AND told me she has been doing this to others and was "advised not to make this a habit"! TpT is my hero! They really do remove unfair feedback! So, if you are like me and this happens to you don't be afraid to report it!
Help! I don't know Spanish!
Wednesday, April 17, 2013
I have a story for YOU today! So, it is true I do not know Spanish. I took German and French in high school (what was I thinking?!), but that is not my story. I wake up this morning and check my email like I do every morning in hopes I sold a ton while I was sleeping. Seriously, 3:00am is a popular time! Back to the story, I wake up to feedback. Ok, I like feedback...sometimes! But not this feedback:

Hahaha! This just cracked me up and made me SO CRABBY this morning. Bahaha. . . until TPT pulled through. Thank goodness they did and I'm so happy that you are sharing this with all of us. That is so messed up!!!

Learning With Mrs. Leeby
I know! So messed up!
DeleteI am so glad that TPT came through for you and you did not have to keep it on your store feedback page. :( That was really unfair and not a fair review about your product. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteVeronica
I'm so glad TpT came through too! You're welcome!
DeleteSo, you're saying this person criticized a FREEBIE?? What an ingrate :( Sorry, because I am so very pleased with everything anyone offers. Even if it not something I could actually use for whatever reason, just the sheer fact that they've offered it....and FREE..WOW...that's crazy...(chuckle, chuckle)!! Thank you for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteYes, a FREEBIE! Crazy right!?
DeleteSo glad that TPT came through. I had totally negative feedback once because the person did not have the program to open the file. They took down the feedback for me too. Love TPT!!

TpT is great!
DeleteThat makes it to the top of my "WTF" list this week! Crazy but good for TPT!
ReplyDeleteSara

Exactly! Totally crazy!
DeleteSo rude. Don't complain when something is free!

Teaching in the Valley
Exactly!
DeleteThat is the craziest feedback I've heard yet!! Unbelievable! TpT has been good to me as well. I was left negative feedback because the buyer's school printer wouldn't print my product. Her home printer would but she didn't want to print it from home. I was able to get it removed since it wasn't my fault that her printer wouldn't print! People can be crazy!

Pencils, Books, and Dirty Looks
It is such a great feeling when TpT agrees and takes down the negative feedback!
DeleteOh my word!! Seriously people where do they come up with this stuff. I am so glad TpT was on your side. That is ridiculous. I also love the feedback on FREEBIES that say oh can you also add this and this to your freebie. Geez!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Pauley's Kindergarten
Oh that is the worst!
DeleteYou are nicer than I would ever be! You crossed out the name, I would have put it out there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling us of the tpt wacks and for reminding me to write product is in ENGLISH in my description!
:)
Haha! I guess I will have to start doing that too!
DeleteOmg...people sometimes! I'm glad TpT agreed with you and they took it down. You get all great reviews and then one negative something can just ruin your day :-/ I don't know Spanish either...I took French as well!

Kickin’ it in Kindergarten
I am so glad too! l
DeleteOh my word...the nerve at some people. I'm glad that you reported this and that TPT agreed. Completely crazy. I know some Spanish but geeez....why should you not knowing it and not putting it on your products affect your rating!!?? Craziness...
ReplyDeleteNicki
Mrs. Thigpen's Kindergarten
I totally agree! So crazy!
DeleteThat is the craziest feedback! I have no idea what some people are thinking!!! I'm glad that TPT agreed and took it down! Hopefully the rest of your week will be positive!

Haha! I know! What do you you even say to that!? Haha!
DeleteShe should learn how to search for bilingual products! Totally crazy!
ReplyDeleteKelly
Kindergarten Kel
Exactly! So crazy!
DeleteIt would have been helpful if the feedback giver knew how to spell español tambien. Sorry that you had that experience, but kudos to TPT for coming through for you!
ReplyDeleteDanielle
Crayonbox Learning
Danielle excellent point, lol!
DeleteI am so glad TpT did come through!
DeleteThat is the craziest reason I've ever heard of! You can't mark down a FREE product for something it was never meant to be! It's not like you said it was a bilingual activity and then it wasn't! This person needs to start requesting bilingual products, not picking on English speaking teachers! I happen to speak and type a bit of Spanish, but I know many schools in the country don't even allow things to be taught in another language besides English. That person is nuts! And taking her inability to find bilingual products out on the wrong people! YAY TPT for backing you up!

The Lower Elementary Cottage
I agree! Just totally unfair!
DeleteThat is just so crazy it made me laugh out loud. I'm so glad you contacted TpT and they took it down. That is the most insane thing I've ever heard of!

Carolina Teacher
Totally crazy! I am glad they took it down too!
DeleteTpt rocks! That is so awesome!
ReplyDeletePeople are a little weird. With all the stuff going in in my home city this week I would think people would have more perspective. Oh well! In addition to tpt we are here to support you!
TpT does rock!! Thanks for the support!
